Nobellum Founders Go Global at GITEX 2025
The world’s largest technology and startup showcase, GITEX GLOBAL and Expand North Star, brought together more than 6,800 tech enterprises, 2,000 startups, and 1,200 investors from over 180 countries.
Among the innovators in attendance were two founders from the Nobellum network: Cynthia Ene, founder of Corol Corp, and Abdel Ali, founder of Kiwi Charge. Their participation highlighted how Canadian entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds are driving innovation and sustainability on a global stage.
Leading with Impact: Cynthia Ene, Corol Corp
One of the standout moments at GITEX came from Cynthia Ene, who led Corol Corp to victory at the Shark Island Pitch Competition during Expand North Star.
Chosen from more than 25 international startups by a panel of over 200 investors and industry leaders, Cynthia’s pitch secured a $100,000 investment from The Firehood, recognizing her company’s groundbreaking work in sustainable materials and circular innovation.
Cynthia also took the stage as a keynote speaker on the Women in Tech Stage, delivering a talk titled “Startups as Engines of Sustainable Growth and Resiliency.”
Her session explored how entrepreneurs can drive sustainability and adaptability in times of global disruption, with a focus on the power of innovation to build stronger economies.
“I’m so proud to represent Canada and to showcase how innovation can fuel resilient, sustainable growth,” Cynthia said. “This win is a victory for every founder who believes in creating change through science and purpose.”
Showcasing Canadian Innovation: Abdel Ali, Kiwi Charge
Abdel Ali and his company Kiwi Charge brought Canada’s clean mobility solutions to Dubai as official exhibitors at Expand North Star x GITEX Global, hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy.
At Stand H7-C27, the Kiwi Charge team presented its AI-powered robotic EV charging platform, designed to make electric vehicle charging more flexible, grid-friendly, and cost-efficient for multi-tenant buildings, dealerships, and cities.
Their participation, supported by the Canada Startup Association, marked an important milestone in Kiwi Charge’s international expansion and opened doors to global partnerships in sustainable transportation.
“We’re thrilled to show the world that Canada is at the forefront of clean mobility innovation,” Abdel shared. “GITEX allowed us to connect with partners who share our vision for intelligent, sustainable cities.”
From Local Launch to Global Growth
Nobellum’s founders are moving beyond local ecosystems and taking their innovations to international audiences. What began as a mission to empower Black-led STEM ventures in Canada has evolved into a thriving network of entrepreneurs influencing global industries.
Through mentorship, partnerships, and strategic exposure, Nobellum continues to equip its founders with the tools and opportunities to build lasting impact.
“Many of our founders are now being invited to international stages through connections we’ve helped them foster,” said Mellisa Ellis, CEO and Founder, Nobellum. “Their stories show that inclusive innovation is not limited by geography or background.”
A Celebration of Global Achievement
Cynthia and Abdel’s achievements at GITEX 2025 reflect the growing influence of Nobellum founders in shaping the future of technology, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. Their stories serve as proof that when opportunity meets representation, innovation reaches new heights.
Innovation knows no borders. With every founder who steps onto the world stage, we move closer to a future defined by inclusion, creativity, and global collaboration.
